Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

👨‍👩‍👧 For Families

1. What is ABA therapy?

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy is an evidence-based approach that focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as communication, social skills, and adaptive learning skills (e.g., hygiene, grooming, fine motor skills, and academics). It is commonly used to support individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.

2. How do I get started with services?

You can get started by filling out our intake form or contacting us directly through our website. After an initial consultation, we’ll verify your insurance, assess your child’s needs, and create a customized treatment plan with a qualified BCBA.

3. What age groups do you serve?

We currently serve children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

4. Are your services covered by insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna. Please visit our Insurance page. We’ll verify your coverage and handle the billing process for you.

5. Do you offer therapy in languages other than English?

Currently, our services are primarily provided in English. However, if you need services in another language, please contact us — we’ll do our best to accommodate based on staff availability.

6. What qualifications do your therapists have?

All of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are also certified and undergo rigorous training and ongoing supervision.

7. What’s the difference between a BCBA and an RBT?

  • BCBA: Designs and supervises individualized treatment plans.

  • RBT: Implements the treatment plan under the supervision of the BCBA and works directly with your child.

8. How long are therapy sessions?

Session lengths vary based on your child’s treatment plan and insurance approval. Typical sessions range from 2 to 4 hours and may occur several times a week.

9. Can services be provided at daycare or school?

Yes, if the facility allows it and if it fits within the treatment plan. We also offer therapy at home, which is often the most natural and effective setting for learning.

10. How do I know if ABA is right for my child?

ABA is a well-established and research-supported therapy for children with autism and developmental delays. If you're uncertain, we can schedule a consultation and assessment to see if ABA is the right fit for your family.
