👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Training Services

At ABA Launchpad, we believe that parents and caregivers are the most important members of a child’s support team. Our Parent Training Services are designed to equip families with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to support their child’s growth both during and outside of therapy sessions.

🌟 Why Parent Training Matters

ABA therapy is most effective when it extends beyond the therapist’s time with your child. By involving parents in the therapeutic process, we ensure that strategies are reinforced consistently throughout daily routines—leading to faster progress and long-term success.

🧩 What We Offer in Parent Training

1. Understanding ABA Principles

We explain core ABA concepts in a simple and relatable way, helping parents understand:

  • Why certain behaviors occur
  • How reinforcement works
  • What to do when challenging behaviors happen

2. Goal-Specific Training

Our training is customized based on your child’s treatment plan. You’ll learn how to:

  • Encourage communication and social skills
  • Use positive behavior strategies at home
  • Support skill-building across daily routines (e.g., brushing teeth, mealtime)

3. Live Coaching & Modeling

During home sessions, your BCBA or RBT may invite you to observe or participate. We demonstrate specific techniques and then coach you through them, offering support in real time.

4. Written Resources & Visual Aids

We provide handouts, tip sheets, and visuals that you can refer to at your own pace. These tools make it easier to practice what you’ve learned.

5. Problem-Solving & Q&A Sessions

Parent training isn’t one-size-fits-all. We take time to:

  • Listen to your concerns
  • Tackle specific challenges (e.g., tantrums, sleep, potty training)
  • Adjust strategies to fit your family’s lifestyle

6. Collaboration with Siblings & Extended Family

When helpful, we also offer guidance for siblings or other caregivers to support consistency across the household.

🗓 Frequency & Format

  • Weekly or bi-weekly sessions with your BCBA, either in person or via telehealth
  • Built into your child’s therapy hours (as approved by insurance)
  • Progress updates and shared wins in every meeting

💬 What Parents Say

“Parent training helped me feel confident in managing behaviors even when the therapist wasn’t around. I feel more in control, and my son has improved so much at home.”
